Have you ever felt uncomfortable in certain places? Maybe when visiting a friend or staying at a hotel? The feeling of unease, as if something heavy and stale energies are stuck on the walls or hiding under the floors? Conversely, you may even have walked into a room and felt an instant calmness and positivity oozing out of it? This is real, we call it the energy of the space.
Like us, everything around us is energy. When the flow of energy within these lands and building spaces is blocked, through years of traumas, conflicts and different experiences the spaces start to feel heavy and stagnate and adversely affect the well-being of people living on it. Remember the the first law of thermodynamics that states – “Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another”. Similarly, the land may have experienced tragedies like wars, famine, droughts, fires etc. and abiding with its ancestral trauma and all the emotions of the people who lived on it.
Hence, the houses and office buildings also absorb the emotions of people using it so if there have been conflicts, arguments, diseases and deaths in the past then it will adversely affect the people inhabiting them.
Talking about workspaces, businesses suffering loss or having difficulty with employee productivity and focus etc then that too can be carried on to any businesses in future. We usually call these places “Jinxed” and choose to stay away from them. But what if there was a way to release these past emotional and energetic blockages? My work is incredibly fulfilling, but it was during a pivotal moment with one particular client that I discovered an unexpected crossroads in my approach to healing.

Using intuitive techniques, I found out that the overall energy in the house felt stagnated and heavy. The house or space absorbed years of unresolved conflicts, arguments, illness and stress. These energies were stuck, leading to her discomfort and affecting her overall emotional well-being. Once I cleansed the emotional blocks and discordant energies in the house, her health started to show improvement.
The vibrations of the place are further boosted by advising the client to do some follow-on practice like Smudging with natural woods or herbs camphor, Palo Santo or sage to clean the space. The smoke removes any negative energy from the area leaving it calm and relaxed. Space energy cleansing has become very popular in workplaces too. Employers have reported improved harmony and cohesion between employees and less anxiety and stress were experienced by employees post-cleansing which in turn boosted productivity thereby increasing the profits for businesses and creating a desirable workplace.
I believe that “The energy of a space is an extension of its inhabitants, each influencing and reflecting the other”. As a renowned energy healer, Barbara Brennan states in her book Hands of Light, ‘Our energy fields interact with everything around us, creating an energetic ecosystem that profoundly impacts our emotional and physical well-being.
